With historical roots going back to Brown Telephone Company in 1899, Sprint has been a major player in the telephone business for a long time; however the Protege sysetm was their singular foray into switching PBX office telephone systems.
While somewhat rare, there are many buisnesses across the US still using the Sprint Protege phone system in their offices, and we are happy to be one of the only vendors who reguarly carry this product line (although we might not come up at the top of a search result, there is a high probability that those companies are going to buy from us!)
Offering display and non display models, Sprint Protege business telephones are easiest to identify based on a 6-digit part number beginning with the digits "475xxx" or alternatively longer numbers beginning with the "261-" prefix.
The Sprint Protege line of telephones suffers one major weakness: the white number keys very often turn yellow - this is due to exposure to UV light and does not indicate the phone lived in smoke-filled offices. This yellow discoloration proves to be nearly impossible to reverse during refurbishing, and with the scarcity (non-existence) of replacement button sets we offer them here as "B Stock".
If you are looking for a particular Sprint Protege phone and can't find it listed here, please contact us and we will get back to you as quickly as possible with whatever help we can offer.
