Following in the footsteps of the wildly popular DKT3000 series of business phones, Toshiba launched the DP series of digital phones to widespread acclaim for thier modern design aesthetics, simplicity of use and broad range of features which met the needs of small, medium and enterprise grade office telephone users alike.
While many models share compatbility with other systems, the DP500 series of telephones was built specifically for the Strata CIX family of systems and achieve full fucntionality on ADKU digital stations or using higher software releases of the CTX / CIX 40 telephone systems.
With a more-focused set of models catering to a wide range of business needs, the DP5000 Series incorporates models DP5008 (entry-level basic phone) through the DP5018-SD non-display, the DP5022-SD / DP5122-SD 10-button speakerphone, the DP5132-SD / DP5032-SD 20-button speakerphone and the DP5130-SDL / DP5130-FSDL large display executive models.
Please note that there is one specific model from this series which causes huge confusion among telephone dealers and end users alike: the DP5022-SDM phone (also referred to as a "Toshiba Net Phone" by some technicians) has restricted compatibility to the CTX40 system. When added to any other system, this model requires a per-extension license which we have only rarely encountered. If you are in the market for a DP5022, please double check your existing phone model and ensure that you don't mistakenly buy the SDM version if your system isn't capable of running it.
